BOLSOM bringt Kunst- und Wissenschaffende in neu gebildeten Konstellationen zusammen. Über mehrere Monate entwickeln sie gemeinsam neue Arbeiten, die am Brünig räumlich, technisch und materiell konkretisiert werden.
2026 entstehen drei neue Arbeiten aus Performance, Installation, Bild, Klang, Biodiversitätsforschung und räumlicher Praxis.
Am 21. November 2026 ab 14 Uhr werden sie im Middle of Switzerland / Naturfreundehaus Brünig erstmals öffentlich präsentiert.
About the Festival
BOLSOM brings together artists and researchers in newly formed working constellations. Over several months, they develop new works that are spatially, technically and materially realised at the Brünig Pass.
In 2026, three new works emerge from performance, installation, image, sound, biodiversity research and spatial practice.
They will be presented publicly for the first time on 21 November 2026 from 2 pm at Middle of Switzerland / Naturfreundehaus Brünig.

Three new symdisciplinary works will be presented publicly for the first time.
The program grows out of the ongoing production processes and will be updated as the works develop.
The detailed program will be published in autumn 2026.

Für BOLSOM 2026 arbeiten sieben Kunst- und Wissenschaffende in drei neu gebildeten Konstellationen zusammen.
For BOLSOM 2026, seven artists and researchers work together in three newly formed constellations.

Hanga Séra & Oliver Krähenbühl
Visual art, installation and performance meet ecological questions, body and environment. Working with wax impressions, text, plants, movement and sound, Hanga Séra and Oliver Krähenbühl develop a work between ritual, environmental perception and collective action.
Felix Liechti, Bujar Berisha & Liliane Bürli
Biodiversity research meets image and sound. Radar and micro-Doppler data on birds, bats and insects form the basis of an audiovisual spatial installation. Flight movements and wingbeat signatures become visible and audible as a night sky gradually transforms into a radar sky.
Miro Jurendić & Matthias Schüpbach
Performance, image and spatial practice come together in a site-specific work developed through direct engagement with the Naturfreundehaus, its surroundings and the situation at the Brünig Pass.

Bildende Kunst, Installation und Performance treffen auf ökologische Fragen, Körper und Umgebung. Mit Wachsabdrücken, Text, Pflanzen, Bewegung und Klang entwickeln Hanga Séra und Oliver Krähenbühl eine Arbeit zwischen Ritual, Umweltwahrnehmung und gemeinschaftlicher Handlung.
Felix Liechti, Bujar Berisha & Liliane Bürli
Biodiversitätsforschung trifft auf Bild und Klang. Aus Radar- und Micro-Doppler-Daten zu Vögeln, Fledermäusen und Insekten entsteht eine audiovisuelle Rauminstallation. Flugbewegungen und Flügelschlagsignaturen werden sichtbar und hörbar; ein nächtlicher Himmel verwandelt sich zunehmend in einen Radarhimmel.
Miro Jurendić & Matthias Schüpbach
Performance, Bild und räumliche Praxis treffen in einer ortsspezifischen Arbeit aufeinander. Miro Jurendić und Matthias Schüpbach entwickeln ihre Arbeit aus der direkten Auseinandersetzung mit dem Naturfreundehaus, seiner Umgebung und der Situation am Brünig.

BOLSOM ist ein Projekt von Middle of Switzerland / LOB Lili und Bujar. Am Brünigpass entwickeln wir einen Ort für Kunst, Gastfreundschaft, Produktion, Forschung und symdisziplinäre Zusammenarbeit.
BOLSOM versteht Kunst und Wissenschaft dabei als unterschiedliche Formen des Forschens, Wahrnehmens und Erkennens und nicht als getrennte Bereiche, zwischen denen vermittelt werden muss.
Das MOS Guesthouse / Naturfreundehaus Brünig ist dabei Ausgangspunkt, Arbeitsraum und Bühne zugleich. Hier treffen künstlerische Prozesse auf Landschaft, Alltag, Wissenschaft, Klang, Sprache und gemeinsames Arbeiten.
BOLSOM wächst aus diesem Ort heraus: aus dem Haus, den Menschen, den Fragen und der besonderen Lage zwischen Luzern und Interlaken.
BOLSOM is a project by Middle of Switzerland / LOB Lili und Bujar. At the Brünig Pass, we are developing a place for art, hospitality, production, research and symdisciplinary collaboration.
BOLSOM understands art and science as different forms of research, perception and knowledge, rather than as separate fields that need to be mediated between.
The MOS Guesthouse / Naturfreundehaus Brünig is both starting point, workspace and stage. Here, artistic processes encounter landscape, everyday life, science, sound, language and shared work.
BOLSOM grows out of this place: out of the house, the people, the questions and its particular location between Lucerne and Interlaken.
MOS Verlag
Der MOS Verlag ist der publizistische Teil von Middle of Switzerland. Wir veröffentlichen Bücher, Bilder, Klänge und Gedanken, die aus unseren Projekten entstehen oder mit ihnen verbunden sind.
Publizieren verstehen wir als eine Form der Weitergabe. Was am Brünig entsteht, kann in anderer Form weiterreisen: als Buch, Heft, Edition, Aufnahme oder Spur.

MOS Publishing is the publishing branch of Middle of Switzerland. We publish books, images, sounds and thoughts that emerge from our projects or are connected to them.
We understand publishing as a form of transmission. What emerges at the Brünig Pass can travel further in another form: as a book, booklet, edition, recording or trace.
